For Participants

About 4 million children and adolescents in the US suffer from severe mental illnesses, which can have enormously detrimental effects on their quality-of-life, their families, and the communities in which they live. The goal of the Neurodevelopment Study is to facilitate advances in diagnosing and treating mental illness, by exploring how genes, the brain, and the environment interact.

We are currently recruiting healthy participants and clinical patients to participate in a series of studies about our genes, our brains, and our behavior. The project is divided into three parts - DNA analysis, clinical interview, and neuroimaging.

The Consent Information section, below, includes a set of FAQs to help you understand more out each component of the project. If you have more questions and would like to talk directly to a member of the Neurodevelopment Study team, please contact Meckenzie Behr.
